Ben,

What emulsion tubes mains and airs are you running? Also pump jets and Auxiliary vent size?

Should be about 145 mains and 180 airs for a start. I always use F16 emulsion tubes with twin DCOE’s as they are richer in the top end.

40 pumps and 4.5 auxiliary vents are the go with 175 needle and seats. 50 F9 idle jets and float setting 8 – 16 mm when hanging vertically with the tang just touching the needle. 16mm fully open.

Cheers

Feral Errol

righto, last time i had my DCOE40s on, they would scream like a bitch from 3-5.5k RPM then stop dead...i just though it was the cam, but now after changing back to my original carby, that revs out fine to 7k (not really fine, but gets there ok). im gunna put the webers back on, and i jsut wanna knwo what needs changing to make the rev more....surely since a 30/34 hitiachi can rev ok to 7k, twin 40s should easily make it.  what needs changing, it has 36mm chokes so they cant get any bigger.....thoughts please???
