damn....i thort it was an excuse to rip out the welder and have some fun.....yeah 
someone else told me its pretty normal to have some movement...just when I take off 
slowly you can hear it take up the slack and a small *clunk* is made...oh well

It's very normal to have a bit of slack - called backlash and a typical
datto diff the spec is 008" - 012" and that translates into some movement in
the shaft - 3-5 degrees isn't real much. If it doesn't clunk or bang about I
wouldn't worry too much about it at this stage. Keep and eye on it over a
few more months and see if it's getting worse.

  we rebuild my H190 about 6 months ago, and i havent really given it much
of a hard time since then, but now it seems you can turn the tailshaft about
3-5 degrees, before it 'takes up the slack' and turns the wheel.....does
this sound like the pin has worn and is 'slopping' around??? or is that
usual for a diff to have a bit of slack??
