Slicks come in different sizing depending on what are used for and which country you live in. Most forms of motor sport in Australia use the UK spec and not US spec slicks - much the same thing but the sizes are known by different terms. The main exception to the general rule that I can think of is the V8 Supercars which use a control tyre (Bridgestone?).
Here are specs for typical road racing slick spec (GT3) used in the USA (Hoosier) Item Number 43385 Tire Size 23X9.5-15 Application EP,GT3 Tread Width 9.2" Approx. Dia 22.8" Approx. Circ 71.5" Recom. Rim 6-7" Measured Rim 7" Section Width 10.4" Compound R45,R60 In Australia, most forms of approved slicks use the Sports Car DOT UK spec and they are sized basically much the same as road tyres and they have a minimum of ZR speed rating.
