How strong must the adjusting bracket on a 1600 be - breaking the lower
mounting bolts is so typical of the 55amp Bosch - pain in the you know where
and a truly delightful job getting the broken bits out of the bracket. I
keep a spare bracket just in case these days and then you can get the broken
bits out later. Also, I got serious with those bolts the last time one broke
and fitted some high tensile items, and they seem to be staying in one piece
for now - I've even been to Brissy and back mainly at night.

heheh I had a slight problem with dim headlights the other morning as on the
way to work (still half asleep)my lights were getting dimmer and dimmer and
the amp meter was into the NEG hmmm I though though didn't have any time to
look into it before work then had to go and get smoko hmm flat battery
turned out I'd some how broken the aLT bracket on both bottom legs ?? after
work I used some wire we had laying around fo a little tension on the belt
and walla it all work till I get around to getting a new altenator hehehe
