hey, just one thing to check, if its a manual
gearbox check that the front input shaft ( where the clutch plate
slides on) IS DEAD STRAIGHT.
i had a real hot 265 hemi, put a new
old stock twin plate clutch, and the flywheel came loose all the time then one
day !bang! the clutch setup let go that bad, it cracked the bell
housing to peices that much, i didnt have to undo any bolts
thet hold housing to motor, ..
only later i found out that the front shaft
on my gearbox was bent,,,,
