No 240Z or 260Z had power steering from the factory and wasn't even an option [some have claimed that there were some cars with power steering in Oz, but it is probable that these were dealer/after market conversions]. The front-ends of 240Z's and 260Z's are basically the same with only minor detail differences really. Tie-rod ends are the same, as are ball-joints for the most part (see my other post). 280ZX is a totally different car, and it's quite likely the major steering parts are quite different to an earlier car. Certainly the power-steering arrangement on a 280ZX is totally different, and is actually closer to the steering used in 240K, C210 and R30 Skylines. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
