Hey again all,
after starting my car up this morning i now have another problem with my 1600 to ask
all you cluey datto fans about...

When I started it in the morning there was a loud clanging noise from the
gearbox/clutch/starter motor or something, and it sounded like the starter was
struggling to grip the flywheel. Anyway, it started very quickly (lucky i had just
hooked up the choke) so i thought nothing of it for a while.

The next time i tried to start it, the clanging was bigger and the gearstick bounced
around a lot, until the engine finally got going and it was okay....except i did
notice lots of funny noises and some vibrations coming through the clutch pedal when
it is pressed in, and i think (could be wrong) that the connecting point for the
clutch was closer to the firewall than before...??? The thrust bearing was also a bit
noisy before, but now there it is making a much louder and rougher noise...

Anyway, i havent had time to have a good look at it, but i don't really know why this
is happening and any advice would be appreciated..

Thanks a lot,
Mark F
