Sorry, but an update, i have found that if i turn the key very quickly to let the starter spin without starting the engine, everything sounds normal.... but then if i let the engine start, then just before it does a loud clang bang noise comes from somewhere - sounds like the gearbox when your in the car, but i doubt this as once the car is started it runs like normal (except for the vibrating clutch pedal) I'm pretty stumped, anyone else got any clues??
