Leighton,
You
grind off the big rubber foot thing. You will be left with a little cylinder
like the original tensioner. Then you push it all the way in and put a small pin
(allen key maybe) in the hole to keep it in. You then install it and pull out
the pin.
The
tensioner never resets. As the chain stretches it will continually move out, but
it will never fall out. That's how it quietens the chain. The reason its noisy
with the standard tensioner is because it resets itself.
Damn I
hope that makes sense!
Thanks

ok guys I have got the little ratchet
tensioner for the FJ20 rattle but how do I need to modify it to
make it fit??? also I see how it works but does the little ratchet
thingy reset itself or does it just keep on ratchetting out until it drops
off???
thanx
Leighton
