Thanks guys, heat off the extractors sounds like it could be it, but the other day my 
car sat in the sun for 4 hours while i was at work, and then it wouldn't start even 
after all that time! Could the heat from the car being in the sun evaporate the petrol 
too?? 
If so then a heat shield sounds like a good idea. 
What should i make it out of?  thickness? 
where should i mount it to?
How big does it need to be?
Any help appreciated!
