Chris,

Compression Ratio on a L engine is determined by combination of both the head and the 
dish in the pistons used. The chamber volume if an L18 head is 41cc, on a stock bore 
L18 dished pistons gives a CR of 8.5:1 and flat tops gives 9.5:1. Much the same for 
other L engines. 200B heads are mostly 45.2cc as are NAPSZ heads.

alright thanks guys, ill check the valve seats.

so is it only the A87 peanut head that has the high 9.5:1 CR? 
and all the others are low comp?
