Doggy boxes have a bad habit of doing that but usually they reject 3rd -
nothing like 7K+ in 2nd and go for 3rd and brmmmmm, tacho off the clock,
bang it in 4th in soldier on.

My dogleg box would sometimes regect 2nd when reving to over 7 in 1st and
would go straight into 4th.It would make fullboost into 4th at like 2000rpm
and would detonate badly.
