Why only one side, is the drive shaft offset in the skyline (or in the 1200)?
How would a sillhouette axel go in my stanza??

you can bolt the R31 in a 1200 with 1 axle side cut down.

Do the Skyline Silhouette have a LSD (R180 i suppose) that will fit into a 1600?
The rear brake swap is a common one by listers I hear, can you just bolt the whole rear end into a 1600?

I'd go an R31 too, try for a Silloutte (however you spell it) as it has an LSD and some other things... probably will be a bit more expensive but should be in your price range.

Then a cheap *bolt in* conversion of an rb20det :) most importers just want rid of them
