Mark,

Good stuff mate, I told you it would fit but the 12" fan is a bit tricky. We
didn't run the plenum water bypass in the race engine as had MT8 controlling
things, but most of the street ppl do in Canberra. If you are running the
stock ECU then most of the sensors on the FJ engine are heat related one way
or another, so you have to be careful what you do away with especially in
Canberra winters. The connections on the thermostat housing are particularly
prone to going bad, the AFM & TPS aren't far behind and you must run a good
quality thermostat 180F or 82C.

enjoy it, and regards
Terry

Subject: FJ20 coolant flow to throttle body

Finallly dropped my shiny new N13 radiator and 12" electric fan in my
1600/F20T last weekend - what a nice fit and no more rad. cap dents
in my bonnet. [Well, "dropped in" after two very long afternoons of
measuring, drilling and minor fabrication plus custom fit the N10 fan
shrowd, all after 2 weeks to source a suitable fan...]

Anyways, test drive and what's this coolant pissing out - Geezus I
double checked everything myself - turns out just bad luck as the
leak is unrelated being from the hoses going to the throttle body.
What timing though! Do you guys running Z18/FJ20s blank off this
water heating of the throttle body i.e. is it neccessary (I'm in
Canberra so winter's around 0 degrees by the time I depart in AM)
