Yep, that sounds a reasonable approach to me - that's where it gonna go. I
imagine the custom mani was done for a reason, the DR30 mani is tight on a
1600 so even 25mm extra clearance would be a vast improvement, anything so
you don't have to belt the firewall with a mexican screw driver. Passengers
tend to have warm feet with a FJt in a 1600, I know in the Sports Sedan got
real hot inside the cabin but I guess carpet is a pretty good insulator.

If i measure the distance from strut tower to strut tower, and then measure
the engine from inlet pleneum to turbo should that give me a resemble
indication?

Just a thought if theyre both going to be a close fit.
