Cameron,

There are few different looms for early and late models (and various
options, various models and markets etc). The early Jidaco 90 degree wiper
motor is 4 plug, all the late models including Lucas are 6 plug at the wiper
motor but fairly easy to convert.

The fuel gauge sender units are the same so you should be able to adjust
the angles on the bar with the float to fix your gauge reading. The tank
sending units are supposed to range from 0 to 100 ohms but from measuring 3
or 4 units pulled from tanks (various years) the actual values ranged from
0-84 to 0-120 which is why you get funny readings from just replacing the
gauge or the sender from another car.

regards
Terry

Subject: Re: 1600 SSS quality ?? was My SSS pic

I have found out the hard way with my SSS parts :/

first my wiper motor blew... had to convert to a Aust spec wiper motor,
different plug, stock is a 6 plug? and a SSS is a 4... or either ither.

and then my fuel sender unit has packed it in.... I put a Aust spec fuel
sender unit in and I *think* the SSS unit has a different resistance.. as on
a empty tank the guage shows 1/4 full ( I dont like running out of fuel in
peak hour ) :/
