Andrew I will check my L18SSS block tonight for the "W" designation.

The cam towers need to be correctly aligned to avoid cam chain stretching
problems and other things. You should be able to reassemble the towers in
alignment using a cam inserted to align them, however you need to ensure
the cam can be easily slid out without binding after the tower bolts have
been tightened to correct tension as they may be horizontally aligned, but
not vertically aligned, after tensioning.

Give it a go and if there is some binding, play with the tower bolt
tensions a just a bit bit, to get them aligned correctly. Before assembly,
check the bolt holes have not been extruded slightly by previous
tensioning, if they have, remove any ridge at the top of the bolt hole with
a careful drill, not a file, before assembly.

On another matter, Guess What, the panel shop fixing the car I discussed
recently can't get a RHF guard or any nose moulds. Is your RHF guard
repairable, and what sort of $$$ do you want for it?
