Stuey, Same question came up recently - same answer.
Get one new from Errol, second hand from L24E (R30), L28E (Zed) or importer (ask to suit FJ20DET). They are great, no fuss start every time, hot, cold or wet - they will spin over just about anything. NAPS-Z starters may fit a L series, not sure on that one so a Navara could be a goer, we source lots of stuff off them to suit the FJ20. regards Terry (love the smell of burnt wiring in the morning) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Stuey Roberts Sent: Sunday, 2 February 2003 2:16 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Starter motor question Hey listers, i have a question to ask all of you. I have a 1600 with an L20B with 10:1 compression, and have an L18 starter motor on it. It just doesnt seem to have the kick to turn the motor over, then start getting a burning electrical smell coming from the starter. Does anyone know what i could source another starter from? Do i go a 2.4 Navara starter or something else??? Thanks guys....
