Is the block significantly different between these two? i.e. will a RWD CA 
gearbox bolt up OK to the FWD motor? Is it a fundamentally different block or 
are the accessories just the problem?

I found a CA18DET in a U11 (minus turbo) for $350.  Are there any common 
faults I should have a look out for?

I guess I should check for valve train damage (e.g. damaged lobes, bent valves 
etc), and oil condition, anything else easy?

Are there any differences between the U11/U12/S12/S13 versions apart from coil 
over plug vs dizzy, and FWD vs RWD? i.e. is there a more desirable variant?
