Hi all, I have just bought a project datto in which i will be endeavouring to install an SR20DET, so i need to sell my precious Datsun 1600 to finance this project. I thought i would tell you guys first before the ozdat classefieds are updated on Thursday incase anyone is interested. Details are as follows:
1972 Datsun 1600 Pearl Blue/purple 2pac paint, body in very good condition - straight and minimal rust 240K struts and brakes 5-speed R180 diff fully retrimmed custom interior lowered (pedders rear, unknown front) nolathane front end Adjustable radius rods polished mags Alarm/immobiliser Solex Door locks 11 months VIC reg RWC comes with spares $6000ono I bought the car with the paint job, wheels, suspension and interior already done, although it only had a recently rebuilt L16 for a motor. I installed a slightly worked L20B with a single weber and had the engine number changed at vicroads so it was all legal for it to have the 2 litre (i didn't need an engineers certificate) The L20B has recently kicked the bucket so i have put the old L16 back in, but i haven't had the engine number changed back so it should be an easy swap to get another L20B in and legal.
