Yes Nat he really was that good He was one of the greats. Up there with Hailwood, Read, Agostini, Doohan. Thats why all the drivers and riders would chat with him. Cos they knew he wasn't full of "eddie" or"big daz" crap. Those guys respected him because he was a GREAT. He was also supremely unlucky I reckon, to have sustained the injuries he got and the way (generally ) that he got them. Things like running into someone elses fallen bike at 200mph.... tyre blow out at similar speed.. And he made us laugh cheers Mick
