Hey Pete,
I will be happy to come down and refine that tune of yours. I am in Alaska again with
work till just after Easter but after that let me know a weekend that suits and I will
grab the Autronic Lambda meter and wide range EGO sensor from work and we can have a
bit of a tuning session. Got to tune my FJ20t also so I am thinking I will do the
Frankston Tafe Tuning course so I can have access to their dyno.

Pete originally had his car tuned by PET performance who have a very good reputation
for tuning race cars. Errol also recomended someone to me recently but I can't
remember his name. Shop around a bit and try to find a few people who have used the
tuner so you can talk to them as some places just wack in a power tune and don't do
all the fine tuning of your cruise speed maps and stuff like that. Costs a bit more
but well worth it in the long run if it is a street car. Also I wouldn't worry to much
about your power figures as by changing ramp rates or the gear you run it up in the
figures can change dramatically without altering the tune. Unless you are building a
dyno queen to win HP hero's type shootouts aim more for drivability than anything else.

Hi guys has anybody had much to do with Autronic SMC computers?? I sold My
Microtech MT8 quite a while ago while doing a ca18det into 1200
conversion. Im getting bits and pieces ready to get my 1200 going again. I
have not heard anything bad about them just wondering how user friendly
they are ect. It will be running my pretty serious CA18det with upto 25psi
on avgas. Can get one $1500 with loom and sensors brand new. Any info good
or bad would be great.
