Mark,

I've read this a couple of times and something still doesn't quite make
sense to me here - a 180B/1600 strut has calliper mount bolt spacing of
76.2mm (3") which is exactly the sized struts that you've asked about. VL
callipers are 76.2mm bolt spaced (that's why they're used with the Magna or
Verada conversions), and the availability of good low cost pads just about
anywhere in Oz. The other size calliper that Holden uses on it's family type
VT/VU Commydore is 3.5" bolt spaced and they fit 200B/240K/C210 etc Nissan
struts. I'm not talking about Clubsport & SS models, they use AP callipers
which are very different again. The measurements that I've quoted are
"centre bolt to centre bolt" - may be you've not quoted the measurements in
like terms?

regards
Terry

Subject: brake conversion.

hi, i am trying to setup a verada front brake setup on my 1600, but
instead of using vl calipers, i am using vt calipers.
they will not bolt up to 180b or 1600 struts, as i was told.
i used a verniers to measure the holes on the vt caliper,
from the outer side of each hole it measures approx (3.475") 88mm.
from the inner side of each hole it measures approx (2.52") 64mm.
the holes are 12 mm big.
therefore i need a strut with caliper mounting holes approx 76 mm apart.
is there a strut suitable, or do i need a adapter etc,,,,,?????
