The 240K is a nice box, I like the one I've got. It has survived over 12
years of abuse in
3 different 510s, with a hot L18 and mild L20B engines attached. Precise
feel, fairly quick shifts.
I'm thinking it will still be OK for the new 200HP L20B and Torsen LSD that
are going in my autokhana Datto.
I've heard of a guy that can supply different gears (brand new brass
synchros - approx $450 each) to suit various diff ratios. Ivan Albins is the
name I wrote down, got the info from a local rally driver in Perth who uses
the same 240K box in PRC rallying with a L18, 2-litre torque monster.
However, I had to make custom 25mm thick offset spacers to use the
un-modified crossmember.
