Andrew, If you're running PULP or basically anything other that LRP (I know it's PULP too but it's crap and you'll need to set the plug gap more like 32') then 1mm (40') is good with most plugs but you'll need very good leads and a decent coil - S2 stock stuff is usually pretty meaty and NGK or any premium plug will work - setting the gaps a tad wider i.e. ~1mm can make it a bit cranky in the frosty weather but once warmed up things settle down nicely.

I had mine set to whatever the factory L18 spec is, and opened them up to 40thou'. Running a downdraft weber, elec dizzy on otherwise standard L18, the difference to driveability was v noticable, and the engine revs FAR more cleanly now. Which leads to the question, what plugs and gaps do people run on their various engine setups?
