G,Day Nick, Good to see you back from Lurksville :) I can see your are giving your motor sport the priority it deserves.
Most people are amazed at their first motorkhana. They think they are good drivers and get creamed by 12 year old kids that know what they are doing and have learnt some basic car control:( Its a kind of ego balance thing I guess. The logical thing to do is go out and next time drive smarter and cleaner to beat the kids that creamed you last time :) Cheers, Feral Errol Get Serious tm<http://www.datrats.com.au/> -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ken Abraham Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 6:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: MOTOR RACING Geordie, MotorKhana's/Khanacrosses are a bit of a laugh. Some real rough looking (but 100% mechanically sound) cars show up to these. The Hills car club is your closest club I think. Ansell Park near Richmond Airforce Base is the closest venue. Big RWD cars manouvering fast in tight, dirt/gravel situations look and sound like a force of nature, especially with nearly bald road tyres. You can see the fear in the eyes of the bystanders - when you can see through the dust storm that you have created that is. It is such an anti-climax to get out of your car physically shaking from adrenaline overload, temporarily deaf from being so close to a screaming engine, and see some shitbox FWD car pootle around with just a couple of handbrake turns - and beat your time by 5 seconds!
