now if i read ya email properly before typing (make sure before
brain engaged before moving fingers........)

right what u do is , cut the tie rod adjuster in half, get a sleeve
approx 90 mm long, (i actually made mine 100 mm, 90 is better), 5mm
thick wall, machined out of autoflex ( there is a number e.g 4130 etcc,
but not sure what it is)., the hole down the middle is machined out so
that it is a real nice sliding fit for the adjusters.

then drill (this stuff drills good with a decent bit) a few holes (7mm
or so, ) say 4, at each end, within a inch of the end, in different
spots, then put each tie adj in, and just leave say a cuople mm of
blank tie rod adj sticking out the sleeve, weld around the adj where it
just goes in the sleeve, then plug weld the holes....

thats it.
here are a couple of pics , ones a close up of sim adj bit of controll
arm, the other is a close up of tie rod adj.
