You can but you hardly get lots of benefit for it.

You can create a V shaped air intake that will accelerate the air on the way in
(a la brake ducting), like look at a racing car with a cold air box and note the
shape of it.  Its generally always wider at the front and narrower at the back.

The effect is very minor really compared to a "real" forced induction system.
