The crown wheel ID on the R160 is 80 mm. On the R180, crown wheel ID is 92.5 mm.
If you made up an 80mm id ring with OD of 92.5 shrink fitted to the LSD you could do it. You would have to do something with the carrier bearings as well, as the r160 is narrower. All to much trouble I think.
