yeah actually I have to throw in about the Lucas pads - they kicked the hell out of metallics for performance on my 'Dore, and they did not hurt the rotors at all. When I had metallics in there it was basically 2 sets of pads for 1 set of rotors, the rotors looked perfect after a set of the Lucas pads. I was known as the brake-pad destroyer by the local brake place, they would fit a set of any new pads for me - I had this fantasic torture test which would just about destroy any pads they gave me until they gave me the Lucas ones. When the first composite pads came out (and were supposed to be the Next Big Thing), I destroyed a set in 15,000km without hitting the track!
Put the Lucas in with DOT5 fluid, stock rotors and calipers, and the VN stopped like a demon. Anyone who has driven anything from VN-VP knows they have grunt, weight, but no brakes. Once you put one emergency 100km stop into the Lucas pads, the second stop nearly rips your eyes out. I found the pedal got harder and brake response got better the hotter they got, and they didn't start to feel squishy. I don't remember how much the Lucas cost, but I can tell you what happened the first time some knob did a right turn in front of me :) > I have used EBC GreenStuff and RedStuff in my commodore.
