hehe sad story...  S40 weighs probably more than an SS but not as much power or speed, 
but you can stand it on the ABS every corner at Winton for a couple of hours and it 
doesn't hurt anything.  Pretty much I ran out of stamina before the car was going to 
run out of brakes!

Was racing a WRX up there, was amusing to watch him run away in the first couple of 
laps but I gradually pulled him back in again because he had no brakes left!  30kw 
power deficit and christ knows how much torque, but the Volvo handles unbelievably for 
a front driver.  Did anybody know here that is has equal length driveshafts!

I found the same thing as someone else posted - the bloody Volvo stock pads are the 
best.  The EBC were the only flirtation with aftermarket pads.  Lucas do not make the 
profile for the Volvo.  Now I have read on forums about S40's destroying rotors but my 
dad's car does not seem to have this problem.  I think its got 50,000k on it with a 
bit of track work and no brake problems at all.

Not that I would drive a Volvo really, but have people done conversions to Volvo 
calipers for 1600's?
