hehe sad story... S40 weighs probably more than an SS but not as much power or speed, but you can stand it on the ABS every corner at Winton for a couple of hours and it doesn't hurt anything. Pretty much I ran out of stamina before the car was going to run out of brakes! Was racing a WRX up there, was amusing to watch him run away in the first couple of laps but I gradually pulled him back in again because he had no brakes left! 30kw power deficit and christ knows how much torque, but the Volvo handles unbelievably for a front driver. Did anybody know here that is has equal length driveshafts! I found the same thing as someone else posted - the bloody Volvo stock pads are the best. The EBC were the only flirtation with aftermarket pads. Lucas do not make the profile for the Volvo. Now I have read on forums about S40's destroying rotors but my dad's car does not seem to have this problem. I think its got 50,000k on it with a bit of track work and no brake problems at all. Not that I would drive a Volvo really, but have people done conversions to Volvo calipers for 1600's? --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
