Hi,
I am having a problem getting my CA18DET started since rerouting some of the
engine wiring and relocating my battery to the boot....
I had it running well, but since tidying things up a bit i've struck a bit
of a problem:
basically if i turn the engine over by hand with the ignition on i get the
injectors firing and spark - so in theory the engine should run,
then if i turn the key to start - the engine turns over but i don't get
spark or injectors firing!
i tried disconnecting the wire to the start solenoid and then turned the
engine over manually with the key held in the start position to try and
simulate what is happening when the starter is cranking, and spark and
injectors work fine!
I am guessing it has something to do with voltage drop when the starter is
cranking or something considering the battery is in the boot, but any other
ideas or tips would be really appreciated!
should i run the ECU main power direct to the battery??? what else could be
causing this problem???
Thanks,
Mark
