Items such as spotlight mounts on bullbars, fishing racks, etc must be removed when they are finished with. But I couldn't find anything on "bonnet pins" as such.   Now in some classes of racing it is mandatory to install bonnet pins as a secondary method of bonnet fastening, and in the same class of racing you must also be road registered.
