If historic rallying is anything like historic circuit racing you can only run effectively what was used in the era your car was raced in. So it people had coil-overs then, you can run them. The only areas they've freed up really is tyres (obviously) and brakes.
I dunno if camber is the right way to get the wider tyres under the guards, surely this is going to create a lack of clearance for turning the wheels? Wouldn't you be better to fold the inside of the guards back? Although I have to admit I don't know how much scope there is for doing that on a 1600. > I have just been on the phone the the local guru-accurate suspension > he reckons coil over is the best....but costs heaps as well > > he reckons he can bend the strutts to give me the correct negative camber > he reckons lowering it wont give enough to fit the 205's under the guards > > oh & his tyre choice was yokohams ao32r > or even better toyo Rai > > > cheers jeff --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
