It sounds like you have the factory tacho dash fitted to some Aussi models in 1972. If you bought a "GL" you could get either the "luxury pack" (read big clock face and trim upgrade), or the "sports pack" (read Tacho in lieu of the clock and radial ply tyres)! Is my memory correct Terry? Hence the "Tacho Dash" varient of the normal dash. There are not too many of them around, but they are not as rare as either model of the 1600SSS dash, which you can see on the Ozdat picture gallery. They have distinctively different dashboard designs.
