Ive got an s13 with an sr20det in it i bought when it had 97,000 k's on it and its now done 130,000k's and i thrash it everyday.The car was an ex jap drift car and was more than likely thrashed before i got it.It still goes hard and uses no oil between oil changes.I have services a few s13's lately that have over 200,000k's on them and they are being abused.So i would say in standard to mildly modified form they last well.The only real problems ive really seen is with the factory ecu and ancilaries once they get over 100,000k's on them.

Considering an S14 Silvia for road car... Cars in the price range have approx 100k on them...  What are these engines like and at what mileage are they likely to give trouble?
 
If possible I want to find one that hasn't been riced or thrashed, looks like the sleeper image of them might work in my favour in that regard ;)
