Short answer - it depends. Now that's helpful advise?

Zac,

For starters adjustable is the only way to go IMHO with a rear bar - I've
chased setup with these things using CIG, LSD diffs - you name it 'till I
was blue in the face and they all suck, except for the type that was/is on
the Koch (sp?) club car that was running around SA many years ago. I was
able to use something like that for a limited time towards the end of my
time with the Sports Sedan before we sold it. The problem with most of them
is the design - they tie down the IRS to the point that it defeats all of
the good things that were designed into it (for a 60's car that is) and
that's mainly when a bar of some sort is fitted forward of the axles. I had
limited success with CIG diffs and a static bar that fitted rear of the diff
but it still sucked on the track - I never used one with any of my street
cars either. An these comments refer to dry setup, now in the wet they were
just evil.

I have deliberately not yet read what others have replied to you yet, so
it's going to be interesting.

Regards,
Terry

Subject: Rear swaybar with open diff

OK blokes, 1600 sedan with an open diff.. is it worth using a rear
