Hi Richard,

Thankyou for that, the problem is we are looking at a KP510 'K' which no-one seems to of heard much about versus people knowing there are P510's available, this one we have now found out was a limited edition of only 50 made it had a front grille with spotlight area which is not in the P510 and vent on the bonnet and a few other small differences in dash etc.

I am finding plenty of info and answers about the P510 but not the KP510 because of it being very very rare to find, that's why we can't seem to find much pics or information on the car and why we have been told it will fetch high prices in Japan and America even un-restored.

Regards
Kerrie

There are some 1600(P510) SSS 2 door coupes in Aus.  A few were privately imported new from Japan.  A friend owned one in the late 1970's, originally imported by a local Datsun dealer for personal use.  I have seen recent pictures of it on the net.  510 2 door coupes have many different upper panels and glass from the front screen back, but share doors with the 2 door sedan.  You can import them from the US for about 7-9K landed here (depends on their condition)   The last of the US coupes had that full width style of rear tail light assembly.  Personally I think this styling detracted from the rear body panel design.

There was one recent Japanese import coupe sold in Melbourne early last year for around $7000, I thought hard about buying it, but it was in need of body restoration (rust repairs).

In the US there are many 2 door sedans. These are basically 4 door 510 with the B pillar fitted 100mm further to the rear, longer front doors, and a longer rear quarter panel.  The roof panel and both screens are the same as a 4 door.  You can't confuse these with a coupe, they have an identical sihouette to a 4 door sedan.
