Yeah totally agree with you, but we should still keep in mind these kind of situations might come back like a boomerang and is better to point them now and try avoid them in future. Otherwise it can discourage people from contributing to the project. It's not much different than in some other, would say similar mobile OS project, but run by Linux Foundation, where months of work by a person from one company are replaced by one commit, without any discussion, by a person from another company. Let's discuss such major changes, before applying them, in the open to not follow that wrong path.
