is to prevent from a flood of ideas, and try to design something consistant.
Why not agree to a flood of ideas? They can be very inspiring and you
can find things you wouldn't thought about. Of course at some point, you
must build a dam to filter them.
Maybe I would have said small comitee, and that I consider that mailing list
to be quite adequate for that (but not a forum, for example)
If you thought about mailing list, not about closing stuff, then I agree
with you.
