Yes but if they keep alienating their customers, particularly their core customers, then you breed discontent and people will make the effort to switch. Sort of like MS, I put up with their stuff for years and one day had enough and put a penguin in the box. Or MB and their quality issues, which they are trying to address. As a side note the TV ad for the new C class goes on about how much time and effort they put into testing the 203 and at the end they ask the question "why did we put so much effort into the new C class?" and the answer they gave was "because we are Mercedes-Benz and this is the C class". When I saw it I had to have a bit of a chuckle to myself and thought to myself that that was the wrong answer.
