Get an impact driver. I bought an inexpensive Ryobi model from Home Depot last winter and have been quite happy with it. I have been driving 3 inch deck screws attaching 2X4's as strapping on a ceiling out at the cottage and it has done fine. Might not be a journeyman quality tool in the long run but was about $90 here in Canada complete with the charger, case and 2 batteries.

I don't think me arthritic wrists are up to job anymore, so am thinking about one of these new fangled cordless screw driver/drill thingies. My question is, how much torque, or voltage do I need in a device to drive the appropriate screws into/through hickory? I see the range (when it's mentioned) ot 100 to 500 inch/pounds. Any recommendations? -- OK Don, KD5NRO Norman, OK "There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games." - Ernest Hemingway '90 300D (Rattled), '92 300D (Saber), ''97 Ply Grand Voyager (Vincent van-go) _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
