I don't think  minors have civil liberty rights in this sense. In normal
criminal cases, parents have the right to be present and to stop the
interview. Since what happened was illegal by not reporting it you may
have waived your right and no parent would be present. They are not
prosecuting her they are prosecuting the parent, if she is defending
them she is a hostile witness. I am still 99% certain the counselor or
other representative was required by law to be in that room during the
questioning, acting in lieu of parents.

The fact that DFCS showed up AFTER the cop said to stop doing it means
to me that you'll be hearing more about this.
