Suggestion -- get a neighborhood kid who isn't a buff squash player like you to spin on the oil filter for you. Maybe a band kid like me.
When I was at CGAS Cape Cod, we had a mechanic who had played football (as a lineman) for one of the big southern universities. He kept putting on the prop oil plugs "finger tight" and stripping threads. The E-8 told him he could check the oil but had to have one of "us" put the plug back in. Never stripped out another one the whole time I was stationed there.
