I'm the resident geek for the north American training organization at Avid... I've read more geek stuff, I use Linux, I rebuild systems for fun (well not as much of that anymore..), I can work in binary although honestly I'm not really all THAT good at it. Reliable but not fast. I'm working on basic math in binary, why? Why not?

That was about the only thing useful I got out of my AP programming class. I spent the rest of time working on apps I was writing. I took the AP test, failed it but sent in a correction that was used on next years test. Since then I have little use for it other then subnet calculations and the odd progamming issue. Considering most people probably don't know there are other ways of counting we can see how far he got.
