True, need to make sure that parts haven't dropped first. When I did the vacuum pump on an OM603, I removed the radiator and upper radiator hose to get good access, I suspect I'll have to do the same on this car.
Would massive failure of the brake booster cause same symptoms (hard brake pedal, no vacuum for fuel shut-off and for HVAC)?
