The bolt from the alt to the adjuster came out?
B: 1. replace the bolt
2. tighten the belt.

My son (he's in Austin TX, I'm in Vancouver, WA) called last night and said
that his 1980 4 spd. 240D alternator belt has inexplicably loosened in just
a few days without any of the bolts being loose. Have any of you ever
experienced anything like this? Or have a good guess how this could happen?
Suggest a cheap possible repair?
