As many of you are aware, my 1985 300TD with the CA version engine emitsw smoky odors when the heater comes on. It's likely I have an exhaust leak, or perhaps an issue with the trap oxidizer. The car makes no louder than normal exhaust noise and runs quietly.
Does the hood fit right, and is the rubber seal at the rear edge of the firewall still there? Is there a crack in the flex tubing around the turbo?
