I can tell you from experience that loosing even 15# of air at 85MPH is pretty
dammed exciting.

Central and northern Maine are pretty barren and one time heading north in my
Dakota I'm flying along in convoy with some other cars when the passenger rear
tire decides to lose some air. The steering got veeeery sensitive all of a
sudden. I came off throttle and coasted down to maybe 40 before I thought I was
really in full control. Grabbed an offramp to a rest area and hit the restroom.
By the time I got back the tire was noticeably sagging. Changed it and realized
that a spare which has been on the truck for 4 years will be banana shaped. It
took several miles at 20mph before the back of the truck stopped wagging... A
tire shop a couple more miles down the highway pulled a big screw out of the
bad tire before patching it.
