I've done that. The trees on my street are city owned (grrr), and leak a LOT of sap. When the driver gets REAL bad (you know, all the road grime is stuck to the sap on the windshield and you cannot scrub it off with the squeegee at the gas station), I've been known to take it to a car wash for just the wash and wax. I don't do it too often, but the look on the workers' faces is truly priceless. :) > So then...what is the best: > carpet cleaner > upolstery cleaner > any other detailing helps/tricks/stuff. The most disgusting car I've dealt with is the crown victoria. It served four years with the sheriff's office. The seats came out, and it took FOUR passes with a carpet steamer and shampoo for the water to not have a color that resembled vomit. Your car is too new to have to use tricks about putting dye in the bucket of shampoo to bring some color back to the carpet. The best dash and vinyl cleaner I've come across so far is lemon pledge. I'm sure there are some out there who can't stand using it like I can't stand armor all. As far as carpet cleaner, I use household stuff. If the seats get in the way, they come out with four bolts. > '01 VW Beetle TDI 61K (grodiest car in the whole world...at this time) Unfortunately, I think I still have you beat. K
